ANIMALS
jackrabbit
Jackrabbits are nocternal rabbit like animals. They may look like rabbits but they are not, they are actually hares. They are longer than rabbits and have longer ears and legs. They are usually seen burrowing in snow. These animals can be seen in the Great Basin Desert.
Gobi bear
Gobi bears are an endangered species, so seeing one in the Gobi Desert would be very rare. This is because there is only about 50 bears in it's existance. They have become and endangered speices because of lack of water in the Gobi Desert. These animals only eat fruits and vegestables, so you won't have to worry about being Gobi Bear food when visiting the desert.
jerboa
Jerboa's are cute little rat like creatures. They have very strong developed hind legs, in which they use for jumping at extreame levels for there size. They are able to jump up to 10 feet above the the gound in one jump! Can you believe that? They also have really long tails used to keep them balanced. This animal can be found in the Gobi Desert as well.
bactrian camel
The Bactrain Camel has two humps instead of one like other camels. In the Gobi Desert these animals can be found grouped together around mountains. These animals are very tall as well, measuring at 6.5 feet tall. These animals are endangered in the wild and than 400 in the world!
gazelle
Gazelle's are small gracefull antalope's capable of running at high speed for a long period of time. They can also survive without drinking water for a long period of time! Gezelles can grow to 42 inches tall, which is 3.5 feet tall. Gazelles are located in the Gobi Desert, Takla Makan and the Turkestan Desert.
